FAQ's & Other

What is different about Childcycle for sellers?

We are set up so you do not have to be at present at the sale to sell your items. You, of course, are welcome to shop and we would love to have you volunteer; but to sell all you need to do is registrer online, price your stuff using our system and drop it off!! We give you the option to pick up your unsold items or donate them to charity. Then sit back and wait for your money!

It’s that easy!!

What is different about Childcycle for Shoppers?

All liked items are grouped together. Instead of having to go through many different tables to find what you are looking for we are set up so all of the sellers items are grouped by size and category. You pay for everything at once, which is rung up on our computerized system when you are done shopping.

What is different about shopping Childcycle2Go?

You will be able to shop at home or wherever you are on your device.

We do recommend, since everything is 1 of a kind you treat this like black Friday shopping.  If there is something you MUST have check out and then go back for more.  If 2 of you want something the first one to check out wins! (may the odds be forever in your favor!)  At check out shoppers will be asked to select a pickup time frame.  If you make more then one purchase, please put them all in the same name and time slot so we can gather your orders together!

Drive Through Pickup will take place Sept 25 and 26th at the Glenwood cc.  We are using the scout room at the back of the arena in the back lane.  You will see the marked door .

How do I tag items?

Please see our step by step instructions here

How do I attach the printed tags to my items?

You can use a tagging gun or safety pins. Please note for our Gateway sale you MUST use a tagging gun. If you are tagging shoes, please use zip ties and attach the tag on the zip tie as well. For books please use painters tape or masking tape. If you are tagging a toy or zip lock bag, packing tape works best. Please make sure when attaching a bag of toys to a large item to write the consignor number, item number and price on the Ziploc incase it gets detached.

Do I need to hang my clothing on hangers?

YES!!! ALL clothing must be hung! You need to have you clothing hung on PLASTIC hangers with the hanger opening facing the left so it looks like a question mark (?) Wire hangers will no longer be accepted!

Where do I get hangers?

Hangers can be found cheap at the dollar store or try asking at Old Navy, Walmart, Carter’s and Joe at Superstore. They have all given hangers out for free in the past. Gather hangers early! If you get stuck for hangers the local Winnipeg WR display sells plastic childrens hangers.

Will I get my hangers back?

There will be hangers to take after the sale. These will not necessarily be the same hangers you brought as some shoppers want their hangers. Hangers will be first come first serve at pickup.

Can I print my tags on any type of paper?

No, tags must be printed on card or cover stock.

Regular paper rips to easily causing lost tags and an item without a tag can not be sold. Childcycle sells tagging kits that include cardstock. Please only use white cardstock going forward.  If you have tagged on other colours in the past please switch going forward.

What type of baggies can I put my items in?

Please use zip lock type bags. The thicker freezer bags work better as they don’t rip as easily. Dollar store ones work fine. Please do not use vacuum or heat sealed bags as if they come open we have no way to reseal then or know what was in them or if anything is missing. If attaching a bag of toys to a bigger item please write the consignor # and item number on the bag so if they get separated we know where they are from.

Where can I buy a Tagging gun?

We have consignor tagging kits for sale for $50.

tagging kits include: a Thirty one tote bag, 1000 barbs and a tagging gun, tape, 100 fasteners for shoes and 50 pcs of cardstock.

Tagging guns alone are $35 and come with 1000 barbs
